We all know about Schrodinger’s cat, Well, At least whatever I remember from that undergrad physics. It’s a thought experiment that goes as follows:

He imagined a box containing a radioactive atom, a vial of poison and a cat. Governed by quantum rules, the radioactive atom can either decay or not at any given moment. There’s no telling when the moment will come, but when it does decay, it breaks the vial, releases the poison and kills the cat.

I think the important part here, that until we open the box

cat may be considered simultaneously both alive and dead

Anyway, The reason I randomly mentioning the poor cat, is that we can replace the cat with visa and I will work the same. To elaborate, Big part of any visa application is waiting for passport to come back. And for some reason, they don’t say if you got the visa or not. So, until I have the passport in my hands and flip through the pages, I simultaneously have and don’t have a visa. Funny, Right? but it does feel great when I see that shiny stamp.
